These photos are from about 6 years ago when I first placed this restoration. The patient was a sixtyish female. I extracted the remaining mandibular teeth and placed six implants and the above restoration. When I was placing the second implant from her right side, I felt something "funny" I took an x-ray and found that the apical portion had fractured. I informed the patient and removed the coronal piece of the implant. I left the apical portion because I felt it would be too traumatic to retrieve it.
