The surgery is done in a one stage procedure allowing the tissues to heal around the abutment portion of the implant. After a three month healing period to allow for osseointegration, the cover screws are removed for the impression procedures.

Note the health of the tissue even though the patient has great difficulty in performing normal oral hygiene procedures.
