While I am a very firm believer in following a protocol that allows
a dental implant to heal and integrate in an unloaded state, the introduction
of these immediate loading transitional dental implants has provided
us with another nifty tool for helping our patients with the reconstruction
of their dentition. I feel much more comfortable with a transitional
implant taking an immediate load when I know that if I do lose that
implant in the future, it will not compromise the success of the patient
treatment.
There are lots of applications for transitional implants and this
module has just touched on one of them. Perhaps some of you dentists
out there have other applications that I would be glad to post for you.
Thank you...
