The teeth were extracted about three weeks prior to this photo and an immediate complete lower denture was inserted. Four implants were placed in the mandible avoiding the recent extraction sites (arrows). I have nothing against placing implants in recent extraction sites, but when I have adequate bone in other areas, I use it.
