Zest / ZAAG Attachments

The Zest attachment is an excellent choice for use with dental implants. This page and the clinical pages feature the new, improved ZAAG attachment system. The entire attachment apparatus consists of a nylon male that is housed in the overdenture and a titanium female which is inserted into the implant. The females are made to fit most common implant systems. The picture above shows the male attachment in its metal housing. The male attachment has lateral movement to add to its resiliency and the nylon portion can be easily replaced
The ZAAG Attachment is a developmental upgrade of the original Zest Anchor. It is not compatible with the Zest Anchor. The Male is larger and stronger to keep from bending or breaking and it is housed in a metal housing for a "quick change" feature. The metal housing allows for pivoting of the male which will compensate for a divergence factor of up to 15 degrees. The male also has a barrel shaped head for a longer wear factor.

The titanium female abutment is screwed into the implant. This abutment has a titanium nitrite coating for better wear resistance.

When the male attachment is picked up in the overdenture, a green spacer is used to provide resilience.

Zest attachments are ideal for individual implant abutments. The simplest implant supported overdenture is constructed on two implants using two individual implant abutments.

There is a very elegant system for producing a bar supported overdenture utilizing the new ZAAG attachments. Attachments can be seated directly over the implant with this system
